Upon entering the Waterloo Smiles office, the clean and friendly environment definitely makes an impression on the type of quality and professional services offered to clients. The tasteful and relaxing décor brings an ambience that immediately puts you at ease. Yet, under all of this ambience lies state-of-the-art equipment and technology not only for the ordinary dental visit but fully equipped to handle dental emergencies, educational sessions, and all hygienic services. All the dental working rooms (known as operatories) have been enclosed with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and doors to minimize aerosol spread for staff and patients. Additionally, each room is equipped with two high powered air purifiers to increase air exchanges per hour so that the air is as safe as it can possibly be between patients.

Each examining room is equipped with a flat screen monitor which can project images from any media, including the intra-oral cameras used during dental examinations. Communication is a key factor in making this dental practice run smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. Each staff member has multitasking down to a science, with in-ear intercom systems. This system allows the staff to communicate in a calm and professional way to each other for the care and treatment of each client.

Each staff member has been cross-trained in the workings of the office, and in doing so, are able to help out, answer questions, and assist each other for the best possible care for their clients.

It is obvious that Dr. Javad is passionate about education. The clinical rooms are set up for clients to see, hear and learn about their dental health. From exam to finish, the management of your dental health is monitored and charted on the computer – which allows the staff and primarily Dr. Javad to show you facts and figures, models and documentation based on your own specific dental results. This empowers clients to take responsibility for their dental health and make it better!

There are clinical rooms set up for hygiene and periodontal management, surgical procedures and dental treatments, as well as a pediatric specialty room, for our younger clients to feel at ease and have their teeth cared for. Whitening specialty is also taken seriously. Impressions and whitening moulds are taken for personalized treatment.
